Vintage Japanese Lithophane Teacup & Saucer with Image of Woman on Bottom

This beautiful vintage teacup and saucer set was made in Japan and features a lovely painting of boats on the water with Mt. Fuji in the background and small houses on the shoreline and gold trim.  Remarkably, as a lithophane cup, when held up to the light, you can see a detailed image of a Japanese woman on the bottom.  The detail and clarity on the face is impeccable! This type of cup is also called a lithophane geisha cup or Moriage Dragonware.

Size: Saucer is 4-1/2" in diameter.  Cup is 2-3/16" in diameter + handle and 2-3/16" high.

Condition: Very good, no cracks or chips
